About

Whistler Blackcomb Freestyle is a non-profit ski club, which has been coaching both competitive and recreational freestyle skiers, using CFSA qualified coaches, since 1988.

If your child is passionate about wanting to take to the air in the park, shred the bumps or soar in the pipe, then WBFSC offers a safe and fun path to progress those skills.

The club offers Mogul, Slopestyle and Halfpipe instruction for recreational and competitive skiers with season-long training on weekends, plus additional coaching at competitions and during holidays. Athletes must be at least 11 years old (or Grade 6) at the time of registration to be able to participate and must be able to ski Black Diamond runs, be comfortable off medium jumps in the park and ready to compete at the Timber Tour level of competition. If your child is aged 12 or under and just starting out in Freestyle and skiing at the Super Youth competition level, please contact Whistler Blackcomb to participate in their Freestyle Development Programme, which will be more suitable.

Club members can also participate in a variety of training opportunities during the summer and fall, including camps on Blackcomb Glacier, water-ramp training, along with Dryland and Trampoline sessions.

Club skiers have the opportunity to compete at regional and provincial level events and must compete at the Timber Tour level once they join the club. Many have gone on to become high performance athletes who have excelled at major events, including the Olympics, World Championships and X-Games. Club members consistently move on to the provincial and national freestyle ski teams and compete at the National Championships.
