Whistler-Blackcomb Freestyle Ski Club
The WBFSC provides freestyle and freeride ski programs for recreational and competitive athletes. The club provides high performance coaching in moguls, park and pipe as well as big mountain skiing.
The WHISTLER-BLACKCOMB FREESTYLE SKI CLUB consists of a group of dedicated individuals & talented coaches pursuing freestyle perfection on Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler, BC. Since the WBFSC began in 1988 it has seen many athletes go from intermediate level skiers to high peformance athletes that have excelled at major events including the Olympics, World Championships and X-Games. Former club members consistently move on to the provincial and national freestlye ski teams. With a strong competitve focus WBFSC also believes in the development of life long skiers. Consistent development of skiing skills creates strong skiers that are active for life.
We offer Competitive Mogul and Freeride Programs for aspiring freeriders of all ages, with training on our trampoline, the Nintendo Terrain Park, the air site at Glacier Creek, and of course, Blackcomb’s legendary moguls. Members can also participate in a variety of training opportunities during the summer, including camps on Blackcomb Glacier and the water-ramps.
Club Philosophy
The WBFSC is a group of coaches, children and parents who share a passion for skiing and the mountains. The club focuses on pre-competitive and competitive freestyle pursuits, moguls and freeride, aiming to develop safe, strong, capable and knowledgeable all-round skiers in a fun and supportive environment. When a skier joins our club, it is assumed that they share these goals. WBFSC coaches are certified freestyle coaches with extensive competitive and coaching experience. Hard work, good coaching, mutual respect and lots of fun is our formula for success.
