The season will run from December 5th, 2009 to April 11, 2010. Skiers meet every scheduled day of training at 9:00 am at Glacier Creek. WBFSC will offer different groups each training day to accommodate the current group of athletes. Athletes must be at least 11 years old at the time of registration to be able to participate. The WBFSC focuses its program on the following three disciplines:

Moguls

Athletes from WBFSC have a long standing history of being successful in the mogul discipline. The club has seen several athletes get their start in moguls with us and go on to win at the internationally level, including current Olympic gold medallist Dale Begg-Smith. WBFSC mogul training is typically done on Davies Dervish, adjacent to the Glacier Creek lodge. This is one of the top mogul training sites in the country. The club currently trains a wide variety of skill levels from intermediate to World Cup competitor.

Freeride

Freeride training takes place in the WB Terrain Park, Halfpipe and on the Air Site located behind the Glacier Creek lodge. These top training sites combined with WBFSC's coaching crew allows us to deliver a world class freeride program. WBFSC currently trains athletes from the intermediate level to national competitors.

Big Mountain

Whistler Blackcomb has some of the best natural terrain in the world. Condition dependent, athletes will be able to take advantage of some big mountain skiing all over the mountain.

Full Winter Program

The WBFSC full winter program is our most popular program.   This program provides approximately 40 training days on weekends and during school breaks.  In addition to the scheduled training days competing athletes will have coaching provided during BC Series Competitions. Coaching will also be provided for athletes that qualify for BC Winter Games, Junior Nationals, and the 2011 Canada Winter Games. Athletes that are interested in competing should sign up for this program; the program is also completely appropriate for athletes that do not plan to compete.

The cost for this program is $1200 ($1100 if registration is done before October 15). All athletes require a CFSA membership on top of club registration. REGISTER ONLINE

15 Day Program

15 day passes are a great way to participate part time in the program or to try it out before you commit. 15 day pass holders can train with the club on any regular training day. If you decide to become a full time member after using up your 15 day pass, the cost of the pass will be deducted from the regular full program fee. 15 day pass holders must bring their punch card each training day or they will not be allowed to ski with the club.

The cost for this program is $900 ($800 if registration is done before October 15). All athletes require a CFSA membership on top of club registration. REGISTER ONLINE

Youth Program

The WBFSC is currently in the process of developing a 9 and 10 year old hi-level junior Freestyle program. Please e-mail Don McGregor if you are interested in being put on the list.

Complimentary Day

Skiers not sure they want to join the club can ski for one day on any date that the club has regular training. Membership in CFSA is required for insurance purposes. Participants parents can purchase the CFSA membership online. Please contact us to arrange for a try out day.

Refunds

Club fees will be refunded as follows: fee paid minus $65 per scheduled training day from the date of purchase up to the day of the request. There is a $25 administration fee. Association fees (CFSA, BCFSA) are non-refundable. Pro-rated refunds for injured athletes with doctors note.

Fund-Raising

Member fees are the major source of revenue for the club. Fund raising may take place from time to time and may include a silent auction, sales of chocolates or other products. Creative fund-raising ideas are always welcome.

WB Season's Passes

Full program and 15 day program members of the Club are eligible for the Sea to Sky Pass from Whistler-Blackcomb. Skiers must be under the age of 18 and be enrolled in school full-time.
